What is the Russell Family Resource Center?


Our FRYSC center has been established as part of the Kentucky Education Reform Act (KERA).  It is our hope that the Center will address the needs of our community by becoming a bridge between home and school.  Our center is here to provide support and assistance to children and families of the Russell Independent community.  The goal of the Center is to remove barriers in the way of a child's success in school in becoming productive, educated happy adults. 


Who Can Use The Russell Independent Family Resource Youth Services Center?

The Center hopes to assist all children and families in the Russell Independent Schools.  Any family and/or student in the Russell Independent School System is eligible for services regardless of income.  The Center is "family focused."

The Russell Independent Schools Family Resource and Youth Services Center shall be designed to strengthen the family as a basic unit of the community, as well as to provide individual members of each family with resources and support needed for the strength and growth of the family unit.
