RUSSELL Russell rattled Fairview’s girls on Saturday, 56-17, with contributions from all over.

Ten Lady Devils wrote their names in the scoring column, led by 10 points from Ashlyn Andre, the only player in the game to get in double figures. Aubrey Hill was next with nine points, as well as 11 rebounds. Russell pitched a 27-0 shutout in the first quarter and led 43-5 at the half. None of the Lady Devils’ starters played a full eight-minute quarter.

Russell (14-6) won its fourth game in six days. Fairview dropped to 8-13.

LLOYD Already up six at intermission Saturday, the host Lady Musketeers outscored the Female Flyers 11-2 in the third quarter to pull away and snap a five-game skid.

Maggie Miller scored 12 points and Lexi Carroll pitched in 11 for Greenup County (5-13).

Emma Whaley led Ironton St. Joe with 14 points.

RACELAND Down 12-8 after one quarter, the host Rams hit five treys in the second quarter.

Travis Weaver scored 25 points and Andrew Floyd netted 11. Floyd had three 3s in the second quarter and Weaver dropped in two. He added four more in the third frame.

Rylie Potter pitched in 10 for Raceland (11-6).

Dalton Barnett scored 25 points and Dalton Martin dropped in 11 for the Wildcats (6-13). Menifee County and Raceland meet again Feb. 12 in Frenchburg.

FLEMINGSBURG Two teams headed in opposite directions continued their courses.

The Panthers remained on their late-season ascent with their fifth win in seven games after a 2-13 start.

Josh Crump scored 22 points, Jaden Campbell pitched in 18 and Jayston Taylor dropped 11 for Fleming County (7-15).

The Eagles got 16 points from Terrick Smith, 11 from Garrett Greene and 10 from Noah King. Fairview (6-13) dropped to 1-8 in the New Year.

SANDY HOOK Bath County recorded its third consecutive win in dominant fashion on Friday.

McKenna Moore supplied 25 points and six rebounds. Kelsey Roberson tallied 11 points and seven boards. Abby Henderson posted 11 points.

Bath County (6-14 after beating Rose Hill on Saturday) drained four 3-pointers and nailed 16 of 20 free throws.

Abby Adkins scored a team-best 17 points for Elliott County (6-10).

PAINTSVILLE Paintsville rose above a miserable night at the charity stripe to defeat Magoffin County in a 57th District matchup on Friday.

The Lady Tigers followed the lead of Presley Chirico, who dropped in 17 points. Anna Keeton splashed in three triples en route to 14 points. Senior Allison Hall chipped in a dozen points.

Magoffin County’s Alexis Montgomery sank four 3-pointers on her way to 19 points. Kennedi Stacy shared in game-high scoring honors.

Paintsville outscored the Lady Hornets, 19-8, in the fourth quarter. Chirico scored nine points in the fourth frame.

The Lady Tigers are 3-1 in 57th District play. Magoffin County is 1-3.
