Devils sink Paintsville, 86-74

RUSSELL The Red Devils cranked up the heat from the perimeter, drilling 10 3-pointers, on their way to an 86-74 defeat of Paintsville on Tuesday at Marvin Meredith Gymnasium.

Ethan Raby poured in 25 points on the strength of a half-dozen triples.

Ryan Stump scored 21 points. Landon Brewer had 14 points and Bobby Hale 12.

James Allen led Paintsville (6-12) with 20 points. Mason Moore and Allen both had three 3-pointers. Moore had 19 points. Chris Allen chipped in 15.

Russell (10-13) will travel to Greenup County on Friday.

Paintsville will be at Magoffin County on Friday.
