Madeline (Maddy) McCloud, Craft Academy & Russell Independent Senior, has received the Grawemeyer Scholarship starting in the 2017-2018 academic year.
This Grawemeyer Scholarship award covers full in-state tuition to the University of Louisville and an additional annual education allowance. This scholarship is automatically renewable each year as long as the minimum requirements are maintained, and is available for up to a total of eight (8) semesters for students pursuing their first bachelors degree or eleven (11) semester for student pursuing a combined bachelor's / master's degree in the Speed School of Engineering.
The Grawemeyer Scholars will work with outstanding faculty members to conduct undergraduate research, and take part in a program of cultural, civic, and educational enrichment during their freshman year. Grawemeyer Scholars will also have the opportunity to meet some of the world's most important academic, political, and social thinkers. The international Grawemeyer Awards program has brought influential authors, Academy Award-willing composers, and world leaders to campus.
