
The Russell High School Academic Team won the 2018 Governor's Cup state championship on Monday! The team finished with 61 points. Runner-up was Henderson County (43.5 points) and Raceland-Worthington (40 points).
Russell placed in the following events:
Future Problem Solving - 2nd place (Maya Abul-Khoudoud, Devan Atkins, Barrett Blevins, Connor McGinnis)
Writing Composition - 3rd place (Rahil Desai)
Mathematics - 2nd place (Zach Stafford)
Arts & Humanities - 4th place (Meredyth Wilson)
Science - 2nd place (Zach Raich), 4th place (Alicia Liu)
Social Studies - 2nd place (Rahil Desai)
